Daycare -

Here at Planet Paws, we operate 7 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday, accommodating your hectic work and life schedule. Our cosy 2000sqft space includes a main play area, a kennel area, puppy room and a small outdoor yard area for your dogs to enjoy. With around 20 dogs daily, we prioritise one-to-one time, creating an intimate setting for your furry friends to play, rest and have fun.

Explore our main area, Planet Pawsome, where dogs can roam freely, socialise and chill. Adjacent is a small outdoor yard for toileting and fresh air. The cosmic quarters, offer four comfy kennels for dining and rest. On the opposite side of the Launch Pad ( Reception) discover the Galactic Getaway, a tranquil space for puppies to play or relax or for older dogs seeking a quieter retreat.

We encourage socialisation and natural play, minimising toy use. However, every afternoon, during our dedicated hour, toys come out for the good boys and girls. Access to climbing and play equipment is always available, keeping your dogs physically and mentally engaged with activities like agility, scent and obedience training daily.

Between 12-1, we enjoy a quiet hour for dogs to rest and recharge, preparing them for an exciting afternoon of fun before returning to earth to their pawrents.

Assessments -

Before your dog can join our crew, they must undergo a 2-hour assessment to ensure this is the right adventure and environment for them, This must be pre booked on a day that works for yourself and the centre. Drop off your dog at 1:30 pm, and enjoy two hours to yourself while we evaluate their compatibility with our setting.

During the assessment, we place all dogs in resting pens or kennels and allow your dog to explore the main play area independently. We gradually introduce one dog at a time, assessing their compatibility based on temperament. If at any point it becomes overwhelming for your dog, we provide a 30-minute break in our comfy kennels before attempting reintroduction.

If your dog is not enjoying daycare or shows signs of stress, we promptly contact you to ensure their comfort. If your dog passes the assessment, you can conveniently book in for daycare via phone, Whatsapp or social media. On their first day of daycare, please bring a copy of their vaccination card for our records.

Rules and Regulations -

At Planet Paws, we maintain certain rules and regulations for the well-being of our facility and our customers:

1. All male dogs must be neutered by 12 months old.

2. Female dogs cannot attend the centre for 22 days from the start of their season.

3. Dogs vaccinated for kennel cough cannot visit the centre for 10-14 days post vaccination.

To ensure a nice and controlled environment, we have a noise policy due to our close proximity to residential areas and other businesses. Excessive barking, beyond what can be corrected through training, is not tolerated. While we understand occasional barking, any dog consistently disrupting the peace will be unable to attend daycare.

For the safety and consideration of our neighbours, we request all dogs to be on a lead when entering and leaving the premises. Please ensure they are controlled and noise levels are kept to a minimum.

Planet Paws Booking and drop off/ pick up policy:

At our intimate day-care, we strive to provide personalised and attentive care to our furry guests. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for both dogs and their owners, we have established the following booking and drop-off/ pick up policies:

Full Day Bookings:

There are 17 full day slots available each day.
Drop off times for full day bookings is between 7am – 11am.
Pickup times for full day bookings are 3pm – 6pm.
Any dogs dropped after 9:30am and picked up after 1:30pm will be charged full day rate. (Unless have an afternoon half day slot from 12pm booked).

Morning Half Day Bookings:

Three morning half day slots are available each day.
Drop-off time for morning half day bookings is between 7am – 10am.
Pickup time for morning half day bookings is between 11:30am - 1:30pm. 5 hours from when you dropped dog(s) off or as long as before 1:30pm.

Afternoon Half Day Bookings:

Three afternoon half day slots are available each day.
Drop off time for afternoon half day bookings is from 12pm – 2pm.
Pick up time is 5 hours from drop off time, as long as dog is picked up before 6pm (close).

To optimize our limited spaces and comply with licensing agreements, we’ve implemented a policy regarding half day slots. We have a limited number of 3 morning slots and 3 afternoon slots available each day. Dogs dropped off after 9:30am and picked up after1:30pm will be charged for a full day, regardless of their actual stay duration. If all morning and afternoon half day slots have been taken and you only need to book your dog in for half day, you will be charged for a full day, this will be made known upon booking in. This is due to limited spaces available.

Parking:

There are limited parking spaces available as we share our parking/outdoor space with another business.
We have 2 parking spaces available directly across from the reception entrance and room for 2 cars to park in the side street (leaving space for other cars to get through)
Each customer will be assigned a 20-minute time slot for drop-off and pick-up to manage parking spaces efficiently.
We will assign up to 4 customers within the same 20- minute time slot to keep drop off and pick up times manageable and not too busy.
If you are going to be late or early and cannot keep to the time slot given please advise us as soon as possible so we can accommodate you.

Drop off and Pick up Etiquette:

Ensure that music in the car is turned down low during drop-offs in the morning to be considerate of our neighbours.
Keep all dogs on leads during drop offs and pick-ups to maintain a calm and controlled environment.
Please be mindful of our neighbours by keeping your dog’s quiet and minimizing barking when dropping off or picking up.
